Game Day Snacks-Beer Battered Onion Rings

24 September 2013

I'm not a huge fan of fried food. Just the though of it makes my arteries hurt. However, i'll make one exception: ONION RINGS! I love onion rings! Instead of ordering them from your favorite restaurant, why not just make them yourself! It's quick and super easy!

Here's what you'll need: Onion (preferably a sweet onion) Flour, Beer (pale ale recommended, all I had was Coors. . .oh well! Still tasty!) salt, pepper, and any other seasonings you want to use!

Slice Onions to create rings and separate.
Combine flour, beer, salt, pepper, and seasonings together to create a batter. Set some flour aside in a separate dish, and dredge the onion rings in the flour.
After dredging in flour, shake off excess flour, and add onions to the batter mix. Coat them evenly and shake off excess batter and drop into 375 degree oil. Cook until golden brown.
End Result! NOM NOM NOM!

Hope you enjoy!
